Analysing architecture from a user perspective

People’s experience and practical use of the built environment is an important source of knowledge to take care of. The everyday-use gives insights that can become forming factors in new architecture.

By means of evaluation and analysis this knowledge can contribute to the planning- and building process.

Reflection on the result of planning, design, production and maintenance makes a foundation for new approaches and new thinking.

Our idea is to implement research results amongst practitioners. Our work is based on our earlier research and dissertations at KTH.

Arkitekturanalys means architectural analysis. The user evaluates what she sees, nothing else. To analyse the built environment from a user perspective, and to communicate the knowledge, is our mission.
